During this session, John Coleman present the results of the Results of the 2021 Employer Sponsored Healthcare conducted by Mercer. The event will include the following:

  • Review of National Results and select New Jersey Results
  • What Employers should consider for 2023 as part of their #employeebenefits strategy

About John Coleman
 
Present Responsibilities
John Coleman is a Senior Principal Mercer’s Morristown, NJ office. His primary responsibilities include leading strategic and financial work on his clients. John has in-depth knowledge of employer health-care reform issues and provides clients with key understanding of the financial impact to as it relates to their benefit plans. In addition to his work responsibilities, John owns a YouTube Channel, called “FriendswithyourBenefits” with the goal of helping people making better benefits decisions
 
Experience
John joined Mercer in 2008. He has experience with managed care, consumer-driven health plans, retiree medical and ancillary benefit coverage. He had contributed to a wide variety of projects involving design, health care cost management, wellness initiatives, medical and pharmacy discount studies, RFP analyses, benchmarking and union negotiations. Additionally, John provides clients with recommendations on health care strategy, stop loss coverage, financial modeling, reserve setting and development of premium equivalent budget rates.
 
Education
John graduated cum laude from Rutgers University with a BA in economics. John has earned the CEBS designation as well the Group Benefits Associate and the Retirement Plans Associate specialty designations from the CEBS program.
