OTHER GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES (I.E. BACK-UP TO FRONT DESK, PROCESSING AND DISTRIBUTION OF DEPARTMENTAL MAIL, ORDERING OF OFFICE SUPPLIES, ASSISTANCE EVENT AND MEETING SET UP, AND OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR)
Primary Role: Lead the design, development and implementation of American Water’s benefit and retirement services programs. Partner with leadership to ensure that all programs support the company’s strategic objectives and ensure program competitiveness, cost effectiveness and compliance. Work cross-functionally to ensure success and impact of innovative health & welfare, leave of absence, retirement and savings programs and manage all employee communication regarding these programs.
Acts as owner and accountable agent for American Water’s health, welfare, leave of absence, retirement and savings plans.
Designs and executes American Water’s total rewards strategy.
Responsible for plan design, development, deployment and compliance and ensures delivery of effective solutions that support best practices.
Acts as a consultant and subject matter expert on benefits administration, third party outsourcing, vendor selection and management, case management, reporting, measurement and employee experience.
Acts as a consultant and subject matter expert on the design and administration of American Water’s retirement and savings plans including defined benefit, defined contribution, SERP and retiree medical.
Drives improvement of the employee experience through training, education, communication, tools, technology and other resources.
Responsible for identifying and resolving system deficiencies while facilitating continuous improvement.
Works in conjunction with the HRLT to design/implement/drive products/solutions and applicable metrics/reporting to support business objectives.
Completes sophisticated data analysis to measure effectiveness of plans and to identify emerging trends and themes.
Works with internal/external business partners to lead the development/enhancement of projects including market/industry best practices, specifications, product requirements, project plans and costing. Analyzes operations and customer feedback to improve quality and process.
