Please join us for a webinar, "Federal Beltway Insights of 2025" on Monday, October 20th at 12:00 noon eastern. Chris Hartmann, Principal with Federal Government Affairs, the Cigna Group, will recap legislation and Administration actions to date, what to be watching for in the end-of-year legislation, and potential impacts on health plans and the employee benefits arena.

Chris has over 20 years of public policy experience. As a Principal with the Cigna Group, Government Affairs, Chris focuses on many health care areas including, employer-based health insurance, individual and family plans, and pharmacy benefits management, working with both Senate and House offices.  Most recently Chris was Vice President of Government Affairs for the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP) formerly NAHU. In his position Chris directed NAHU legislative issues on Capitol Hill including patient protection and Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and Children's Health Insurance Program. Chris also worked on regulatory affairs with the executive branch.
 
His experience includes 11 years working for Congressman Rush Holt (NJ-12), including five years as his Chief of Staff. Chris also served as Holt’s Legislative Director working on Congressional Committee work, focusing on the public policy areas of health care, employer benefits, tax policy and senior issues. Chris also spent three years working for Congressman Bart Stupak (MI-1), a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee.  
 
Chris graduated from American University with a B.A. degree in political science and law and society.
